Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Advanced Spectroscopy in Chemistry (ASC)

Research topics:

Search for alternative solutions to fossil resources from biomass.

Training in the new concept of "biorefinery" including the study of multiple (non-edible) feedstocks, multiple processes (chemical, biochemical, thermochemical) and multiple products (fuels and chemicals for aviation).

Train students to broaden the scientific and technological understanding of the biorefinery concept.

This master's degree is co-accredited by the University of Lille and Centrale Lille Institut.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree BIOREF

Research topics:

Smart functional materials, colloidal dispersions in nanomedicine, advanced catalytic processes, visualisation of chemical reactivity (chemical modelling and transient spectroscopies)

The Master includes 12 months of experimental teaching (practical work) and laboratory internships.

Master co-accredited by the University of Lille and Centrale Lille.

Research topics:

Studies of the physical and chemical properties of the atmosphere from the molecular to the global scale, analytical sciences applied to air, atmospheric modelling, air pollution and climate change.

Master's course in the stimulating environment of the Labex CaPPA and associated laboratories.

Research topics:

High-level physics with a choice of specialisation from condensed matter, materials science and applications, pharmaceutical materials, dilute matter and spectroscopy, atmospheric science or molecular and atomic scale modelling.

Training in micro to nanoscale characterisation methods (diffraction methods, optical and mass spectroscopies, electron microscopy) and theoretical foundations of physics.

Evolutionary biology, particularly in population genomics, evolutionary genomics, statistics and modelling.

Upon graduation, you will have a good understanding of ecological concepts, bioinformatics tools and NGS data management.

Training in methods of analysis, processing and intervention in sedimentary geology; application of principles and technical skills to palaeontological and palaeoenvironmental analysis; technical skills in applied palaeontology and geoconservation

Research Topics:

Basic and applied palaeontology, including geoconservation and geoheritage.

You will be able to respond to the academic challenges posed by the renewed need for palaeontological expertise in response to societal demands. You will have a better understanding of geobiological processes such as those that trigger an ecological crisis.

Research Topics:

The 'BioPham (Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Materials Science)' European Master's degree is taught entirely in English. The programme is jointly run by the University of Lille (France), the University of Pisa (Italy), the University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland) and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona (Spain). BioPham aims to develop the 'science of pharmaceutical materials', a new discipline at the crossroads of materials physics/chemistry and pharmacy. To achieve this, our Master's programme offers its students an ambitious academic and practical programme.
Our Master's programme trains tomorrow's professionals, who are sorely needed in the world of pharmaceutical research, whether in university research centres, Big Pharma, SMEs, spin-offs, start-ups, contract research companies or drug manufacturers. To this end, we have surrounded ourselves with numerous academic and industrial associate partners who offer our students the ideal opportunity for long-term placements.

English taught courses

All our Masters courses are taught in English, providing a unique opportunity to explore the world of knowledge in a multicultural atmosphere. Using English as your main language also enhances your ability to compete in the global job market and work in international professional environments. You will have the chance to interact with fellow students from all over the world, to broaden your horizons and develop valuable intercultural skills.

Master track structure

 

Each master’s track has its own structure, with lectures and practicals using cutting-edge scientific equipment in research laboratories, as well as several traineeships. Joint courses (Scientific Writing, Scientific Communication) are also offered to all Masters students on the 'Science for a Changing Planet' Graduate Programme.

Applying for a master track

 

Depending on your country of residence, you will have to follow either the StudyinFrance registration procedure by Campus France or the e-candidat procedure. More information on the 'Apply' page

Tuition fees

 

All non-European master’s students, engineering courses, master’s in healthcare and PhD students are automatically partially exempt from the “different tuition fees” and are aligned with the standard registration fees, i.e. those paid by European and French citizens. The amount will depend on the level of your course:

  • 243€ for a master’s course
  • 380€ for a PhD. 

 

Please note that additional fees must also be paid: CVEC (contribution to student and campus life). All students at the University of Lille (European and non-European) must pay the CVEC, which costs 92€

 

 

 

 

 

 

Erasmus mundus joint master degree

 

Some of our Master tracks are also Erasmus Mundus master’s degrees:

You have the option to follow the classes that make up the course or apply for the Erasmus Mundus programme, in which case you will have to do it over the two years of the Master (M1 and M2).

Please note that the application process begins early in the year. Most classes begin in the first week of September, but each course has its own schedule.
