Graduate Programme 'Radical Uncertainties'

Presentation :

Designed for master’s students aiming to pursue research or develop skills in uncertainty management, this graduate program is part of the DePERU project (Decision-making Processes under Extreme Radical Uncertainties). It offers a multidisciplinary approach to analyzing how radical uncertainties shape decision-making in rapidly evolving geopolitical, ecological, and technological contexts. The program features collaborative work, with master’s students forming groups supervised by PhD candidates to foster interaction between the two levels while providing doctoral students with mentoring experience. Additionally, Semester 3 will focus on developing disruptive scenarios, blending scientific expertise with creativity. The curriculum combines multidisciplinary lectures and hands-on workshops to explore research methodologies and professional applications, with funding available for fieldwork and investigations. Students benefit from an international network of researchers and partner laboratories. This program prepares graduates for both academic careers (PhD studies) and professional roles requiring expertise in risk analysis and uncertain scenario modeling.
