Graduate Programme 'Democracy'
Presentation :
The Graduate Program 'Democracy' offers an in-depth exploration of democracy as both an idea and a set of practices. Conceived as a space for interdisciplinary dialogue, it brings together perspectives from law, political science, information and communication sciences, philosophy, and the arts to shed light on how contemporary democratic regimes function, to examine the threats facing democracy, and to consider democratic innovations. Built around a lecture series, the Graduate Program will explore institutions, norms, and forms of participation, as well as the imaginaries, narratives, and sensory representations that shape our understanding of politics. By encouraging dialogue across methods and disciplinary languages, the Graduate Program 'Democracy' aims to open a space for reflection in which democracy appears at once as a legal framework, a lived experience, and a question that must continually be reimagined.
