Graduate Programme 'Complexity in the physical and digital worlds'

Presentation :

The PG Complexity in the physical and digital worlds is structured around the CDP C²EMPI, which brings together teams from the Painlevé Laboratory, PhLAM, IEMN, and CRIStAL. Through resolutely interdisciplinary approaches, this collective develops innovative conceptual tools for the analysis and understanding of complex phenomena and systems in both the physical and digital worlds.

The CDP C²EMPI spans a continuum ranging from fundamental research to advanced technological developments. It relies on state-of-the-art infrastructures, in particular the nano-micro-fabrication platforms of IEMN and the optical fiber infrastructures of PhLAM, fostering strong synergies between modeling, experimentation, and technology transfer. Closely interconnected research pathways complement this framework, notably around the themes of cybersecurity and turbulence.

The complementary expertise brought together within this PG gives rise to numerous interactions that are essential to the development of the digital world. Mathematics plays a central role, providing a common language and unifying tools that make it possible to connect domains that may at first appear unrelated.

Master Tracks

Every Master's programme has its own structure, comprising magistral courses and practical work using research laboratory equipment, as well as internships. Some classes are offered to Master's students as part of the Graduate Programme.
