Graduate Programme 'Sustainable energies and applications'

Presentation

The Graduate Programme 'Sustainable Energy & Applications'  focuses on the energy transition within the sustainable development goals of the United Nations. It deals with the production, the transport and the usage of energy, from primary energies (wind, solar, tidal, geothermal, biomass, nuclear, etc) to energy carriers (electricity, hydrogen, bio-fuels, etc.). Low-environmental impact usages of energy is also considered such as electromobility, positive-energy buildings, high-efficiency processes, cogeneration systems, etc. This program aims to deliver a relevant background to develop innovative materials, components and systems in PhD theses for the energy transition.
The program relies on 6 specialised Master and Engineering degrees with a common core to deliver an interdisciplinary background on energy while training on a high-level topic in the selected degree. The common units are composed of seminars by high-level scientists on energy topics, and research-based projects within international research groups with high-recognition experimental platforms.  these units will give many opportunities to work with PhD students and appreciate the doctoral studies. Moreover, the students involved in the GP will also participate to an international summer school.

Master tracks

Each master's program has its own structure, with lectures and practical work using state-of-the-art scientific equipment in research laboratories, as well as several internships. Common courses (Scientific Writing, Scientific Communication) are also offered to all master's students in the Graduate Programme.
