Graduate Programme 'Prevention and Vulnerability'

Presentation

This Graduate Programme focuses on population vulnerability from a holistic, ecosystem-based perspective. It offers an in-depth reflection on the research methods used not only to measure but also to prevent and reduce vulnerabilities, by integrating a multidisciplinary approach and a temporal perspective (life courses, disease trajectories, social and environmental dynamics). Emphasis will be placed on the co-construction of knowledge with patients, service users, or expert students. Unique in France, this program brings together students from six Master’s level (M1) tracks, organized into multidisciplinary groups. Following a day of theoretical training and presentations of research conducted at the University of Lille using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods, each group will develop a research project supported by experts, highlighting interdisciplinarity and innovation in response to major societal challenges.

Master Tracks

Each master's program has its own structure, with lectures and practical work using state-of-the-art scientific equipment in research laboratories, as well as several internships. Common courses (Scientific Writing, Scientific Communication) are also offered to all master's students in the Graduate Programme.
