The University of Lille's Graduate Programmes extend scholarships to attract highly talented students to their master's tracks. These scholarships not only recognize academic excellence but also aim to foster a diverse and vibrant academic community.

Arriving in France

You are coming to study in France for the 1st time?

 

  • Eligibility: incoming international students enrolling for the first time in a French higher education institution for a master track of one of the Graduate Programmes.
     
  • Grant allocation criteria: Selection will be based on the following criteria:
    • Academic criteria based on the study track followed, the academic record, and the institution of origin
    • Professional criteria based on the research project and the consistency with the scope of the Graduate Programme
       
  • €8,500

 

NB The scholarship covers one academic year and is paid at once the beginning of the first semester*. The Scholarship cannot be renewed.

 

*after academic registration*, upon presentation of a certificate of registration at the University of Lille, as well as proof of physical presence at the University of Lille. 

*except for the Graduate programme Precision health: the fellowship is paid at once after the academic results of the first semester upon presentation of the academic results.

Studying in France

You have already studied in France? 

 

  • Eligibility: French students, international students already in France, and those renewing their scholarship into the second year, in a master track of Graduate Programmes.
     
  • Grant allocation criteria: Selection based on the following criteria:
    • Academic criteria based on the study track followed, the academic record, and the institution of origin
    • Professional criteria based on the research project and the consistency with the scope of the Graduate Programme
       
  • €4,500

 

NB The scholarship covers one academic year and is paid at once at the beginning of the first semester*. The Scholarship can be renewed for the second year of the master track upon new application. 

 

*after academic registration*, upon presentation of a certificate of registration at the University of Lille, as well as proof of physical presence at the University of Lille.

Guidelines for online application 

 

  • Dowload and read the Application Check List available on our 'resources' page
  • Fill-out the application form in English or French
  • Navigate through the online application form, divided into different steps, each associated with one page. All registration steps can be modified prior to the final submission of the application (final step).
  • Submit a fully completed application online before the deadline.
  • Provide all the documents indicated as mandatory through the application form.
  • If you submit more than one application, only the most recent one will be considered.
  • After the submission of your application, you will receive an automatic acknowledgement of receipt by email (check your spam box if necessary).

If you meet all the requirements and wish to apply for the Graduate Programmes Scholarships, the following list of documents should be attached to the application in PDF format:

  • Curriculum Vitae, detailing your education and degrees obtained (with indication of global grade average and rank when possible), your work experience including internships, certificates and awards, skills and any information that may help to assess your application.
  • Certified copy of your degree(s) (add an English translation if necessary) or certificate of registration from your university (for final year students)
  • Transcript of marks for the last two years. 
  • Copy of official language certificate showing English language skills
  • Passport (or valid identity document)
  • two reference letters by teachers or researchers who have spent some time with you. They should explain in which circumstances they have known you and then describe what they think are your qualities and strengths, and why they think we should award a scholarship to you.
  • Any other document you consider useful for the application

All the documents indicated as mandatory must be provided through the application form. Incomplete applications will not be considered.  If you are missing a mandatory document, please attach a text file explaining your situation.
